Dystonik Art was born out of the association between art and disability as a resource to realise a creative journey. This venture, conceived during the lockdown, overcame physical and mental barriers, making it a testimony to human resilience and ingenuity.

Growing up among canvases and colours, Marco has always shown great curiosity for the world of art. This is how his story began. Despite the challenge posed by his motor disability, his painter mother's intuition was to indulge Marco's dystonias as part of the creative process instead of addressing them as an obstacle to be overcome.

This opened a door for a unique form of expression, using classic and innovative tools such as the use of new technology in the digital art world.

This artistic journey was supported by the Specialised Company CAA (augmentative alternative communication) team customised by the UOC of NPEE Asl Na2 Nord. The project involves the use of an eye pointer that integrates with software designed to interpret the gaze, giving him the ability to navigate and communicate with the outside world using customised symbols and tables. For Marco's personal experience, the team created a customised board to give him the possibility to choose the tool, stroke and colour.

Through the combination of artistic expression and innovative communication tools, dystonik-Art stands for boundless creativity dictated by Marco's unique perspective, offering the world a glimpse of an artist who speaks through the vivid language of art rather than words.
